MINDSET: WARNING! This post could seriously effect you success!!

Failure ! Or what?

It’s very important to understand the link between success and failure.

From now on, you may want to change the way you think about successful people!!!

Rather than seeing them purely as successful individuals, change your perspective to see successful people as successful failures! In reality this is exactly what they are. FACT!!

They’ll have faced and conquered failure more often than many could ever begin to imagine. It’s their ability to recover from failure and to charge forward to achieve their goals that separates the successful from the unsuccessful …

Think outside the world of business for just a moment:

In football Gary Lineker, the famous international striker was one of England’s greatest-ever strikers, but that didn’t mean that he scored every time he took a shot at goal. In fact, he missed more goals than he scored by a considerable margin…! Lot of people watching and judging!! Lots of in the moment presure to perform – deliver – hit the back of the net!! And he FAILED!

However he’s still one of the greatest strikers our country has ever seen. The fact that he missed more than he scored is irrelevant in the bigger picture. If he hadn’t been prepared to fail or hadn’t picked himself up and dealt with his missed goals as apposed to thinking ” I’m rubbish I’ve missed another one! he wouldn’t have gone on to be one of the all-time greats! Ever felt like this in your business? i.e not gotten the result you wanted.. fluffed the call – felt under pressure got it wrong felt embarrassed – dissapointed frustrated… get the idea!!

Another one is Steven Spielberg was rejected by the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts multiple times.

Did he fail? Yes but did he give up? No

He went on and created a blockbuster film Jaws 1975 (My favourite film as a kid), has won three Academy Awards, 4 Emmys, 7 Daytime Emmys, and his 27 movies has made nearly 9 million now he never gave up.

One more is Vera Wang failed to make the 1968 US Olympic figure skating team. Then she became an editor at Vogue, but was passed over for the editor-in-chief position.

Did she give up? NO

She began designing wedding gowns at age 40 and today is one of the premier designers in the fashion industry, with a business worth over $1 billion.

So succeeding and failing to do thing through life is good, it’s what within us that makes up push through these tough times and keeps going.

It’s also part of the game of life, and it’s certainly part of the game of business.

It’s how you handle failure which are the dissapointments the frustration the mistakes that makes the difference.

I’m not saying that you should specifically set out to fail, although accepting that you’ll get more knockbacks before you finally break through is vital… Most people stop in the process because they think they should be getting better results faster!! But WHY???!!!!

Failure is an inevitable part of life. Being able to make the most of failure and turn it into a positive is a key skill. It’s also an essential part of success in any endeavour ….

Have a good day xxx
