Warning: FOR ANYONE USING OR CONSIDERING ESSENTIAL OILS.

FOR ANYONE USING OR CONSIDERING ESSENTIAL OILS.

PLEASE be careful which brand you use and where you purchase them from…

Several friends have recently brought me their oils from other companies and from Amazon. When we both smelled the 2 bottles, there was a significant difference! As with everything else in life, we get what we pay for…

Our skin is the largest body organ and it absorbs any lipids (any of a class of organic compounds that are fatty acids or their derivatives and are insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. They include many natural oils, waxes, and steroids.)

We need to be careful about what we put in and on our bodies, as it eventually reaches our bloodstream.

A couple recently told me they ran out of their dōTERRA Lemon essential oil and ordered another bottle from Amazon. The bottle arrived sealed as if it was new. It cost a little less then the retail price of £10 for 15 ml.

They did a simple experiment to compare the two bottles:

1. Pour 1 drop of each oil on a piece of paper. 2. Wait 2-3 minutes. 3. Compare the results.

*You will notice that: > The authentic oil on the left, fully dries and turns lighter. > The cheaper knock-off oil stays darker.

This indicates that the Lemon oil on the right is not pure and is most likely diluted with another oil. This is especially dangerous if this oil is ingested. They were upset and regretted their Amazon purchase.

Unfortunately, many people have gotten sick from improperly using adulterated oils, instead of experiencing the great benefits.

This is also true for diffusers. Please do not be deceived by the super-cheap diffusers you see advertised online. Again, you get what you pay for.

A cheaper diffuser made of inexpensive plastic may turn toxic if you try to diffuse a pure, powerful oil. Many of them warn that you should not diffuse any citrus oils.

This is especially dangerous if you are diffusing oils for young children, the elderly or anyone with a compromised immune system.
